Gutters are where a lot of Upstate roof problems start. Undersized gutters overflow behind the fascia and rot it; clogged gutters back water up under the first course of shingles; downspouts that dump at the foundation cause the crawl-space problems every home inspector in Greenville County writes up. On a lot with mature loblollies, needles fill an unprotected gutter in a season.
We form seamless aluminum gutters on site in 5- and 6-inch profiles, hang them on hidden hangers, size the downspouts to the roof area, and install micro-mesh guards that actually keep needles and oak tassels out. And because the roof and the gutters fail together, we'll inspect the roof while we're up there — free for homeowners, with photos and a plain-English summary, or as a written report if you're buying, selling or renewing insurance.

Questions we get about gutters & inspections
What size gutters do I need?
Most Greer homes do well with 5-inch gutters, but large or steep roof planes that dump a lot of water in one spot need 6-inch gutters and 3×4 downspouts. We size by roof area, not by habit.
Do gutter guards work with pine needles?
Micro-mesh guards do — the mesh is finer than a needle. Cheap foam inserts, brush guards and the wide-slot plastic covers do not; needles thread right through them. We only install micro-mesh.
Is the roof inspection really free?
Yes, for homeowners who want to know the condition of their roof. We make our living on repairs and replacements, not inspections. A written report for a sale or your insurance company is a small fee we credit back if we do the work.
How often should I have my roof inspected?
Every two years, and after any storm with hail or damaging wind. Roofs over 15 years old or under mature pines, every year.
Do you do inspections for home purchases?
Yes — buyers, sellers and agents across Greenville and Spartanburg counties. We can usually schedule within a couple of days and deliver the written report the same day.
