Reading about roofs is not the same as having yours inspected.
The pages on this site exist so that homeowners in Greer can follow what a roofer is talking about: shingle layers, decking, flashing, ventilation, hail scoring, claims. They describe roofing in general. They do not describe your house. Two ceilings with the same brown stain can sit under roofs that need entirely different work, because shingle age, decking and flashing condition, ventilation, hail history and the quality of the original installation all change the answer. Only someone standing on the roof can tell you whether the right answer is a repair, a claim or nothing. Revised September 2026.
What this website is not
- Not an inspection. No page here inspects your roof, offers an engineer's judgement, gives an opinion on insurance coverage, or recommends anything for your particular property.
- Not a quote. The dollar figures on our guide and service pages are ranges for planning, drawn from typical jobs in Greer and around the Upstate. Pitch, how many layers come off, decking replacement, material choice, access, permit fees and whatever scope the carrier approves all move the number. The signed estimate sets the price; nothing here guarantees one.
- Not a coverage opinion. Whether wind or hail damage is covered turns on the policy wording, the deductible and the adjuster's findings. Our part is documenting the damage. The carrier's part is deciding. The deductible stays yours to pay; the law requires that.
- Not a before-and-after album. The photographs illustrate the conditions and work the text describes. They are not records of a named customer's project in Greer.
- Not a promise about lifespan. Hail, tree cover, attic ventilation, upkeep and the weather decide how long a roof lasts. Correct installation improves the odds and nothing more. Whatever warranty covers your job appears in the contract you sign with whichever contractor performs it; manufacturer warranties carry separate terms and must be registered.

- Not an emergency service. If water is pouring in, if a tree has broken through, or if a storm has left sparks or a gas smell, leave the website alone. Get people clear of the affected rooms, cut power to them if that is safe, then call 911 or the utility about the hazard. The roof call to us comes after that.
