Roofing for Travelers Rest and the foothills
Steeper lots, bigger trees, more metal roofs and more mountain weather — TR is where the Upstate starts to climb, and where roofs take the most from wind and ice.
Travelers Rest has changed — the Swamp Rabbit Trail brought new neighborhoods, renovated farmhouses and modern builds with standing-seam roofs — but the geography hasn't. The foothills north of town get more wind, more ice and more rain than Greer, the lots are steeper and the trees are enormous, and the older homes toward Marietta, Slater and Cleveland are on their second or third roof. Metal is the right answer on a lot of these houses, and shingles need the full wind-rated system on the exposed slopes.
We serve TR and north Greenville County for replacements, metal roofing, storm work and repairs. Permits go through the City of Travelers Rest or Greenville County; the newer neighborhoods along Highway 25 and near the trail have HOAs. Ice-storm and tree damage is the emergency work here, and we're on it when the roads open.

Questions from Travelers Rest homeowners
Is metal worth it in Travelers Rest?
More than anywhere else we work. Wind, ice and tree debris are all harder on shingles here, and a standing-seam roof handles all three for 50 years. It's 2 to 3 times the price of shingles up front.
Do you come out for ice-storm damage?
Yes — TR and the foothills are on our emergency list. We tarp when the roads are passable and do the permanent repair once the ice is gone.
What's the permit situation?
City of Travelers Rest inside the limits, Greenville County outside. Both are pulled by us.
Can you handle a steep, hard-to-reach roof?
Yes — steep-slope work is roped and staged, and the drone does the inspection where walking isn't safe.
